Why not? He goes in motion at the snap if he runs up for the kick--thus "simulating a kick" when he goes in motion for the lateral.

No, it reads "has simulated or is in position to kick." (see above).

lol... he's simulating a kick while running laterally to his right? That's some simulation....

I'm taking Mr. sportsmanship this week over the buckeyes. I believe the game is in bagerland. Lots of unbeaten teams yet in the big 10. Attrition, when you think about it, that's really the key to this football season.

He's a soccer style kicker! He runs to his right for every kick! The angle he took is clearly part of the simulation, designed to fool the defenders with the poor perspective that comes from crowding the line.

Mr. Sportsmanship, that's funny. Did you know Bret Bielema has a Hawkeye tattoo on his leg (played at Iowa, then was an assistant under Fry)... matter of fact... Bielema played there when Bo Pelini was a grad assistant... probably part of the reason they both have some history in late night bar-hopping!!.... anyway, the "going for 2 when up 25 late" is all tattoo boy.... "It's what the card says"... omg.

Was it Woody Hayes, when asked why he went for two with a big lead, said, "They wouldn't let me go for three".

C'mon, Bielema, if you're gonna do it to Punky Brewster, at least man up!!
