1. I know you're kidding, but our problem was with only 1 guy (LaSuzza) and I'm not sure he's ever pitched in an LSU game before. Wednesdays are made for this kind of information.
  2. One dude (Taylor) accounted for 6 runs for them with two homers. After that, the pitching shut them down. (I realize PT was kidding. Just a comment.)

What's impressive, though, is that LSU's offense (knocking on wood) has yet to really experience a slump. It seems really balanced to me - lots of production across the lineup, lead-off man playing like a lead-off man, Dean and Gaudet playing their roles perfectly almost....

I like this team a lot. And CPM is really building a late season pitching staff by getting all these young guys some time on the mound. I guess I wouldn't be so fired up about that if the Tigers were losing - but the hitting is there. So rock on!
  3. I worry though. With all the playing time they get, none of the guys seem to be really improving. All of our starters still implode somewhere around the 4th inning (with 2 out :cuss:)

  4. That's just not true.
  5. reed didn't set the world on fire either.
  6. no, but it seems to happen every now and again someone just has a crazy "wtf" moment. but like with all of the young guys getting their chance on the mound, i guess it's good to get it out of the system early.
  7. With Ranaudo having been out, The young pitchers got a chance to do just that..
  8. exactly. at least CPM uses the pitchers on his staff. smoke laval (and to a certain extent bertman as well) had a habit of having pitchers on the staff that never seemed to have been utilized until it was too late. at least mainieri gets the kids familiar with pitching in pressure situations in front of a lot of people.
  9. any official word on the rotation for the UGA series?
