Well.....OK......since the analysts (Kirk Herbstreit and co.) think that USC was still the best team in America this year, then it is valid that USC and Texas split this years national championship!!!! Congratulations to USC for being the most dominate team of the century (or ever in existance) and a big Congratulations for your national championship in 2005! :thumb:

That's all you need to know right there. They're still incredibly sore over his de-commitment. They know that next year, it's back to OU owning their asses. Mack Brown did not win this NC. Vince Young did.

UT did not win the NC in 2003, we did. Their victory over SC this year did not validate our NC, we did the second we won it.

This is just your typical Texas mentality. No matter what someone else accomplishes, they will try to take credit for it, or at least make themselves look better. Pay absolutely no mind to it. Who gives a sh*t what they think?

For an even more greusome embodiment of their mentality, look no further than the Rita evacaution. All you heard was Texassclowns pounding their chests about how much better Houson evacuated than New Orleans did. Of course, you heard nary a word about how they would have never been so 'prepared' (for a hurricane that didn't even hit) had Katrina not blasted us first. Nor did you hear any mention of the fact that Houston was never in danger of flooding the way New Orleans did because of the fact that the city is simply not surrounded by a water level higher than its base elevation. Nope. All you heard was them elevating themselves at someone else's expense. Typical.

Texans talking about someone else's lack of class...I have heard it all, now!

Well said. They also didn't mention the "world's largest traffic jam" getting out of Houston or how so many people ran out of gas during all this....had the hurricane traveled this path, things would have been alot different.

And it kinda makes one wish it had, doesn't it. *snarfy sarcasm*

Also consider that if UT claims SC as NC's in 2003, that makes themselves look better, right? There's that Texas mentality again.

Sounds like someone is just bitter cuz we got RP and they didn't. The fact that the whole reason for their NC victory is leaving for the NFL next year in the form of VY probably doesn't help much either. This post should however serve to show that just because the one guy that is donating is from Texas doesn't mean all of Texas is with it.

I didn't really like the whole billboard idea in the beginning because all it is going to do it cause problems and force me to listen to stuff that is gonna piss me off at an exponentially greater level than it does now. However, since it is probably gonna happen, i kinda like it and I don't really care whether Texas is behind us or not.

You know the really, really sad thing? I bet some USC fan, any ONE USC fan at that, will buy a billboard on I-10 in a matter of seconds (provided LAMAR would allow it) because they seem to have "that kind of money."

I must be the ONLY LSU fan who doesn't support the whole billboard idea. We won the title, that's it... there is NO arguing. We know it and USC is being delusional if they don't credit LSU with its MNC. If LSU fans simply didn't let it bother them so much, I think USC would be a LOT less reluctant to accepting our title... Just....let....it....go.... and things will be alright. Oh, and yes... I did donate money toward the cause... it would be nice to force socal students/fans to have to look at that all day... lol
