1. Take a look at the site now. It looks like the guy running it all has not ahd everythign together form the start. His cost was off by several thousand dollars. Now he can't even use the design he planned on using.

Take a look at the piece of junk design he is planning on using now.

Also, why does the guy feel a need to put up the billboard in Baton Rouge too?
  2. Same reason you feel the need to reply to every single thread on this page.
  3. On the original forum...they upgraded from the old so I'm not sure if it is still there...he mentioned that the cost was a guesstimate. Until he got a firm area for the billboard he didn't know what the exact cost was going to be. Once the location was confirmed the company gave him the total costs.

As far as the design there were probably issues with using the Crystal trophy. Don't forget this is just a few guys trying to get this together so I don't think much thought went into legal issues initially.
  4. I kind of like the new designs.
  5. So do I. Who cares that they couldn't put the original up? It still conveys the message pretty damn good. :thumb:
  6. I was all for it from the beginning. I wondered if he would run into problems using the crystal trophy design. But, you have to admit, there's times when all of us jump into things without thinking it through. Let's just hope he has good consultants now that this thing has gotten "bigger" than he initially thought it would.

  7. http://www.onepeat.com/
  8. Saw the billboard in someone's sig on here just now, so I went and checked out the onepeat.com site. Well, still no billboard up. Supposedly they had finalized a deal but the owner of the company, who is a USC alum, caught wind of it and cancelled the deal. The onepeat people have now found a ne wlocation and say the billboard will be up in 10 days.

As for the USC fan putting a billboard in Baton Rouge, well Lamar decided not to accept the contract. Something about threats....... heh....

  9. this whole story is fantastic, made better by the fact that the usc alum is a complete jackass. he cant seem to get it through his head that usc, as part of their conference, agreed to be part of the bcs system.

    usc guy:

"According to both the AFCA and the AP, the Sugar Bowl was a match-up of the #2 and #3 teams in the country. Before the Rose Bowl, which featured the unanimous #1 team in the country (USC) vs. the #4 team in the country (Michigan), every coach who was asked stated on the record that they were not going to change their votes if USC won the Rose Bowl. According to the coaches, if the #1 team won its bowl game the outcome of a game between the #2 and #3 teams would have no bearing on the national championship."

haha, oh man that guy is crazy. why cant espn call me in for a debate with this fella. not only would i destroy, i think there is real chance i could make him cry when he realized the truth.
  10. Sorry Martin, but I don't think that even you could get the USC jack ass to see the truth. Nothing against you, they are just that delusional.

However, I do think you could make him cry by humiliating the crap out of him.
