I just hope poeple who are calling for Les Miles to be fired are not serious about it. Oh how we forget history when we get a taste of winning. In the entire 113 years of LSU football we've only done better then a 2 loss season 15 times not including the 05', 06' season. In the pass 3 or 4 decades we've only done better then 2 losses 4 times. Miles if he can win out this year would have done it twice in 2 years. I have my moments when I get frustrated too, but what can you say to a man who is winning, no matter how ugly the win is. What ever happened to a win is a win. As a fan I really don't want to go back to the years when LSU was always the under dog and the highlight of the abismal season would be to beat a ranked team. Now we are consistantly ranked in the top 15, rarely considered underdogs, and is in contention for a NC. I don't know about anyone else but up until the 2003 season I don't think I've ever even heard of LSU and NC in the same sentance for a loooong time. So let's give the guy a little slack. Oh yeah, so what if Ole Piss kept it close, we lost to the "powerhouse" of UAB in 2001 (noone ever brings that up when talking about good old Nick).

And I kind of enjoy the last minute comebacks we have, keeps the game interesting, most exciting football I've watched in the pass 2 seasons, and don't ya'll just love how we suck the life out of the other teams when we win on the 4th down TD plays. JR= has what 5 or 6 4th quartercomebacks in his career? thats just sick

As bad as we played for 3 quarters last night and a much as I'd rather have a blowout win, next best thing is a win like last night. I love the fact that Ole Miss and their fans had their football hearts ripped from the. :eek:lefire: :eek:lefire: :eek:lefire:

If he is such a bad coach, then how do we seem to win most of our close games? He kept his head last night, in spite of JR being off, in spite of the team not being "ready" to play. We survived a very spirited effort by Ole Miss and we still came back and WON.

Look at the scores, most of our games under Miles are not close. Under Saban, we had some very close calls (Kentucky) that should not have been close at all.

    This is all relative.

For example, the McClendon years. He had enough talent to win 7-9 games a year for many years. He never really had the talent to get to that next level, essentially Alabama. So you really had no room to complain about us contending for national titles. It just wasn't ever in the cards.

This coach has without a doubt the best talent of any SEC team this season. You no longer SETTLE for 10-2, 9-3 seasons. You must take it to the next level.

Perfect example is USC. They are contending for the NC for a 4th straight season. That's where I think LSU should have been these past 3 years.

You say we had a freshman QB in 2004. Well guess what, USC has a freshman (first year playing) QB this year. Pete Carroll doesn't give a shyt. He expects nothing but excellence from his team, no matter what. That's coaching, my friend. And don't give me the bullshyt about the PAC-10 this and the PAC-10 that. USC's SOS this year is as good or better than most.

There's your comparison. That's where I want to be. To say that Les Miles can take us there is so very questionable it ain't even funny.

It's impossible to fire a coach that will consistently win 9 and 10 games, which is what Les will more than likely do. But one potential championship season after another will go by the wayside in the process.

2007 will tell us all we need to know.

I cant wait to see how our Home Friendly schedule next year pans out. It should prove to be an awsome year for us Tiger fans.
