I did it off of memory without doing the look-up hence my incorrect first name and locale.. I remember the injury and no I do not believe the "it was an accident" explanation regardless of the games location. No one else in the SEC hurts opposing players like this.

 

I think Prothro just landed badly in the endzone, didn't he? Was there illegal contact going on?

 

It was just one of the bad breaks of playing football.

I'm sure you can google the injury for the video. There wasn't anything about it that was outside the rules.

 

I saw the Alabama-USM game where Prothro made "The catch"...

 

I THOUGHT that was the one who made that catch. The name wrung a bell for a reason.

 

There were a lot of Bama fans who said that three point loss, in OT, back in 2005 wouldn't have happened if Prothro was still playing at that point. It was my opinion, and still is, it was the loss at the C position.

He was a heck of a receiver.

Nice vid, either way. I miss watching LaRon lay the wood. I haven't seen anybody come through LSU since that hit as violently as him.
