Heard this afternoon on Max Out (Radio Show out of Destin, FL) that Willie Williams (LB from Thug U) is attempting to transfer to LSU?
hmmm, voice of reason, could it be? Anyway, with most of the 9th ward in Baton Rouge this fall, Willie would feel right at home. We could hook him up with a scholly and a free FEMA shack, what more could he ask for?
http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?p=914721 "The linebacker -- who was allowed to enroll at Miami two years ago despite having 11 entries on his arrest record" ya we don't need those kind of players on our team even if he is a great linebacker.
According to this article West Virginia and Tennesse don't want him and some of his own teammates don't want back: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/content/sports/epaper/2006/07/24/a2c_um_0724.html Maybe he can go and play in the CFL ? EDIT: Add Louisville to the "No-Willie" list: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-umfoot24jul24,0,5651088.story?coll=sfla-sports-headlines "He has since been turned down by three of the four Division I programs (West Virginia, Tennessee and Louisville) he was interested in transferring to. Fresno State hasn't responded, putting him in a predicament since fall camps open in early August."
thats pretty pathetic. If you are going to transfer you better make sure before hand that teams are going to want you. Now he is in no mans land because nobody wants him and now his own team doesn't want him. What a rookie mistake.
I really would have wanted him hear, arrests be damned. But when you've got so many that Tennessee has concerns -- that's a problem. Now if Virginia Tech turns him down, I can only assume he'll go straight to the Cincinnati Bengals.
i dont mind guys in situations like this AS LONG AS they are a walk-on the 1st year, and behave and comply 100% the 1st year. If they pan out, great, they get their scholly If not, bye-bye
