for the man who didn't get the interview he deserved (I guess LSU now uses the Rooney rule famous to the NFL)...will he be retained?

The two Coordinators are the biggest keys to being successful next year in my opinion. Don't like the hire, but he may do okay.

And WTF Slocom and no Fisher?

I think he did get an interview, albeit briefly.

They'll probably still interview him tomorrow, with all that's going on today, just too busy.

I tell ya what boy it sure is hard to see any of these assistants go. I sure have grown to love them all. Jimbo has taken alot of criticism, but I still like them. These guys did alot for our program.:thumb:

I've never been a big JF fan. I wish him well but I'm a little relieved he is gone. I'm beginning to get excited about the prospect of a Les Miles offense with the tools we have. Now, if he will drop Clay from DC or insist on a better scheme we should be okay all around. :geaux: :champs:

Jimmy Sexton will have Jimbo a head coaching job within a year. He had two lined up last year, but Jimbo declined. Miles knows this and will want an OC who will be with him for a while.

I just don't think Miles is blind! You KNOW he FULLY understands our defensive success. And since he's known for being a solid recruiter, you know he realizes the talent on defense that we have.

Having said that, I doubt Miles will intrust someone considered to be "marignal", run our defense, or let it get out of hand if he does.

If Miles doesn't keep Jimbo, I would hope the LSU Nation would at least give the man a great sendoff. Jimbo coached at LSU for 5 years with integrity and dedication. LSU set numerous offensive records while he was offensive coordinator. Whether you like his offense or not, he deserves our heartfelt gratitude and thank yous and prayers that he lands on his feet with another successful program.
