Wifi Extender

Friend of mine whose company installs systems for school board, etc. told me they is no such thing as a booster, really. I tried to tell him to get a second router.

 

With a second router, will I have to have another cable internet outlet installed? Or how does that work?

 

How far away is your office? Have you considered just running Cat 5 out to the building?

 

It's about 2 feet from the house. Just far enough away to ruin the wifi coverage. I've considered moving the router, but it's in the center of the house, so everyone else can have coverage. Plus, I only have the one outlet for the router

 

I don't know how handy you are, but I would probably run a hard line.

 

Maybe you can just use your phone as a hot spot to get what you need?

And I agree. Glazed makes more sense in a professional setting.
