    Bowe---best year

    Doucet---best LSU career.

still not sure Carter has "it"--slip watkins was pretty fast too.

does anyone remember how hard it was to cover bowe on the post? he's got that deceiving long leg speed like randy moss...

another thought, I always like the idea of a bigger guy in the slot... closer to the line of scrimage and can be used to block on outside running plays...

Im ashamed to say I dont even know what kinda offense miles is gonna use so it's hard for me to say who will have the best year... bowe is the best nfl talent though... remember all that talk about him "learning to play like clayton" working on his blocking and route running like clayton did? watching bowe go up and get the ball makes me smile.

I think Davis will be the man. I think you will see solid production from the other 4 guys mentioned here.

I'll just project some stats to answer your question:

    Bowe- 40 catches, 648 yards, 7 TD's
    Davis- 36 catches, 560 yards, 3 TD's
    Green- 32 catches, 550 yards, 6 TD's
    Doucet- 21 catches, 360 yards, 5 TD's
    Hill- 16 catches, 235 yards, 1 TD
    Carter 15 catches, 293 yards, 3 TD's

That is the way I see it. Bowe is the main threat, can beat you deep, but is alwyas the number one option. Davis is the over the middle, third down type of guy. Green goes back to how he was the 03 season. Doucet and Carter are the down field threats. We're going to spread teams out a lot I think. We're going to pound them with Addai and Broussard, but when it comes to passing, we'll see a lot of spread formations with Addai or Vincent in the backfield too.

Hmm. That seems like an awfully high amount of catches, yards & TD's for a team with such a strong running game.

Miles is going to split it 50/50 so I think there will be fewer catches than you are predicting. I do expect that when we throw the ball - it will be for a good amount of yards each time, so I expect the yardage numbers to be pretty high.

I'd like to see Green get more than 32 catches. I think he's capable of alot more & I think Miles & Jimbo will find the right way to utilize him.

With so many talented receivers, some one is bound to get less catches than they deserve.

Bowe was most impressive in the CapOne game. He can be either a possession receiver or kill you deep. I was very surprised he didn't get more touches in that game... he was open in the flat every time he went out as our corners were determined to not let him beat us deep.
We would love to have a player like him. Ed Hinkle is a great possession receiver, but he doesn't have Bowe's overall talent.
    You got a good'un.

Just imagine if this was just 50% of the offensive production. We should hang 40 on everybody.

It's not as high as you may think. We were ultra-conservative on offense last year, but our WRs managed to catch about 130 balls for almost 1900 yards and 14 TDs.

If we get some solid QB play this season, I can easily see those kind of numbers. Maybe 25 TDs is a bit high, but 150+ receptions from our WRs is very possible. And that's with a balanced offense!
