A friend who reads my posts on various boards asked me a question and I figured you guys might get a kick out of my answer.

He's noticed that when I am a "guest" on other people's forums, I try not to smack talk, make fun of Auburn, and generally try to offer some intelligent football discussion.

Then, on Auburn boards, I come across like a 500 lb gorilla with a bladder infection.

My point is this: I personally respect programs like LSU, TN (Not their coach but their program), I admire the USC's, Notre Dames, Oklahoma's and Texas programs, and really don't worry much about the rest.

I listen to people (mostly barners) whine about LSU's classless fans, and I can't help but think of the times my car has been keyed outside of Legion Field by disgruntled Aubies after a loss, the time a fellow threw a full can of beer at my girlfriend of the day at Jordan-Hare. (She needed 8 stitches in her cheek, and he ended up with a broke arm and leg; but they dropped the charges against me and my friend).

Trouble with LSU? Well, one time I was walking through the lot my hands empty and enjoying my Crimson Tide when an LSU pack of people suddenly surrounded me. One of them pointed out that I appearantly had a big problem. My hands were empty. So he shoved a beer in my hand. A very cute lady observed that my other hand was empty so she shoved a plate of the best BBQ I had had before or since. We managed to win that game, and while many LSU fans were loading up, that same group called my bunch over and we swapped football jokes and beverages for half the night.

    Go figure!

    Here's to a great game!

You know that almost every Aubie (except some of the ones here) will say flat out you are lying with that LSU story, don't you. If it doesn't involve torching cars, tipping porta-lets, or throwing old people off the upper deck, they won't believe it.

That said, I think I need to go tiger bait my Bama fan of a husband now. :hihi:

If you didn't have a beer and/or a sandwich, that IS a problem...

LSU has some of the world's best fans...

Unfortunately, they have 10-20 of some of the worst too, and those overshadow us sometimes...

    Good luck to you bro...

This is how I would like LSU and Bama fans to respect each other.

The Barners want to bring both of us down to their level of being jealous little vidictive back-stabbing whining babies.

    DON'T LET THEM DO IT!!

LSU AND ALABAMA ARE THE CLASS OF THE SEC!!

DON'T LET THE BARNERS BRING US DOWN!!

LONG LIVE CHOLLIE MAC!! LONG LIVE BEAR!!

There is no doubt that year in and year out you guys have been rocking the SEC West (and more) for the past several years. That is something Auburn can only dream about. I would have no problem seeing BAMA/LSU slug it out for the west year after year much the way the GA and FL were in the 90's.

Of course, I want BAMA to come out on top. duh. ;)

I like that post by rolltideroll. That was a good post about when lsu gave you bbq in one hand and beer in the other. LSu gets a bad rap everytime because of the one percent that ruins it for everyone. I hope that this weekends game is awsome but of course LSU comes out victorious. Lets kick this game off right now. I cannot wait.:geauxtige
