Join the LSU Alumni Association's Atlanta Chapter as we mark our territory in the red clay of North Georgia yet again for the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs (did we mention the Tigers sport a 4-0 record in the Georgia Dome?). Here's our guide to events this weekend where red pants and barking like a dog are not required for entry:
Gibney's Pub (231 Peachtree Center Ave NE, 404-688-0928,
http://www.gibneyspub.com) will serve as LSU Atlanta's Downtown Headquarters from Thursday-Sunday. Located at Peachtree Center, connected to the downtown hotels such as the Hyatt and Marriott, Gibney's Pub is near a MARTA station and within walking distance from the Georgia Dome. Party till 3 a.m. on Thursday and Friday nights, or stop by starting at 11 a.m. on gameday. Gibney's Pub will feature Abita beer and the important Texas-Colorado and UCLA-USC games on its big screens on Saturday. Looking for a postgame party after the game in the Dome? Gibney's Pub will be open till 3 a.m.
In Buckhead, join Tiger fans and the LSU Atlanta Chapter at Rio Grande, the official home for the LSU Atlanta Chapter. Rio Grande (3227 Roswell Road, 404-237-3227) is offering $1 Abita specials and a live band on Friday night, and the Atlanta Chapter's view-in for the LSU-Georgia game on Saturday. Rio Grande, an official sponsor of the chapter, serves as LSU Atlanta's weekly destination for football games in the fall.
Also in Buckhead, Chapter sponsor Catering Cajun will host an LSU pregame party Friday night at East Andrews (56 E Andrews Dr NW #10, 404-869-1132,

East Andrews hosted a "Taste of Louisiana" event in October that was a combined effort by Atlanta's LSU, Tulane and ULL alumni chapters. The event raised over $8,400 for the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation, with help from sponsors such as Atkins Park Restaurant and Tavern, Blue Bell Creameries, Cajun Meat Company, Catering Cajun, Community Coffee, Emeril's, Air Tran, Popeye's, Sweet Events and Zapp's Potato Chips.
