I say it only gets better from here. Miles is a very good coach and his recruiting skills will keep us strong for years to come.

I think it's to early to judge him.period. He's done a great job keeping this team together considering all that's happened. And he's got a top notch recruiting class coming in. both positives so far. but I think it's completely unfair to judge a coach in his first year. Archer went 10-1-1 in his first seaon, turned out to be a bad hire. Everyone was ready to ar and feather Saban when he lost to UAB at home his first year, but he won a National Championship in year 4. Enjoy the success now, but you cannot judge anyone after only one season.

I knew some would feel that way. That's why it is a choice. I can respect that.

I think he's a great recruiter and I think he's got some good assistant coaches, but I'm not sold on him as a 'game day' coach yet. That said, I'm not willing to bury him just yet, despite some of my emotional posts after the Tenn. loss. I've just made a conscience decision not to bash the staff too hard after a win because if you win every game by 1 point, no matter if your playing App. St. or USC, you're still gonna be National Champs (if the computers let you into that game).

I like Miles and have never waivered since the day he was hired...but we are 10-1 and possibly SEC champions. It's hard to vote "it only gets better" than 11/12-1. If there had been a 'Miles will maintain LSU's national profile' option, I would have voted.

He is what LSU needs now , in fact wait until he gets his players in then we will see his offense. What we need is a Quarterback to put in the game .Start with the air mcnair types if you want to . We need one who can pick a defense apart !!!! A great season hell look at what has happened in the state everyone knows LSU is a winner !!

Jury still out. I am very happy with this season, however.

Jury's still out. But based on the evidence, like 10-1, winners of the SEC West, #3 in the nation, he's off to a great start. He did not fumble the recruiting class last Feb., although he arrived late, and with many recruits thinking they'd play for Saban, Les kept those kids in the fold. Then he went out and got some players we were not in good position to get, hung tough till the end and got Rick Jean Francois from Fla. He continues his strong recruiting this season, getting many solid recruits early in the summer.

I don't think you can judge a coach very effectively on one season. I was not happy with the defense the first two games, and certainly not with the loss to Tenn. I thought the errors were correctable, gave the coaches a chance to do their job, and they were corrected. The team came together down the stretch, a put together quality wins against Fla., Aub., and Bama.

    I'm a happy camper.:)

Although the jury's still out the signs are promising. Just as the previous poster mentioned, keeping the recruiting class relitively intact after a NC winning coach suddenly departs is a strong indication of his ability to communicate with these young men. :geauxtige
