Thats a tough one. I would say, her not asking for help while in the field with her team mates is suspect, but it is widely known that some women dont scream out for help during rape, so really who is correct here.
I have been in field many times for long periods of time but only once or twice were with females. And those times we were in tents not out in the open. I can say that those times where females were present there was a lot of consenual sex.

In the end its shit either way, because you are going to have an officer who lacks integrity out there leading our troops.

The only thing that makes me want to believe her is that the out come off this is either
1. She was raped and her attacker is free
2. She is lying and her career is over

So it begs the question why would she lie? But maybe logic is not in play here.

There is the issue

Most women deny even consensual sex right after it happens. At least in my case.

And that is what I believe happened here. I am betting this was consensual and they got caught. In an attempt to not be thought a whore she cries rape.
