1. Reminds me of that joke where the husband tell his wife he's going to bar-b-que for her. The wife ends up having to pick up the meat, season it, make the rice dressing, potato salad and gets stuck with the dishes.......while all the husband does, in the end, is lite the pit and bar-b-que.

We do think like that ya know. That's why I always do everything exept the potato salad so she really gets a lil reprieve and can be served.

Another thing that kills me is when I cook, the kids tell me, "Thank you dad". I usually cook one meal a week but we only eat 2 to 3 (At most) cooked meals that aren't oven baked, Tyson things- which the kids love. Anyway, I ask them why they never tell their mom thank you, she does it a lot more than I do.

I do recognize that they see it as out of my "Normal routine" but don't want them to take her for granted.......not to mention that it makes me feel bad for her to hear it and think they don't appreciate her.
  2. I think because it is out if routine which makes them think you worked harder...if they only knew. :yelwink2:

If we can figure this out, surely the wives know the same and don't get upset. However, women often times get upset at things that make you go hmmm.
  3. Hamburgers with Macaroni and/or salad.
  4. Got to make some room in the fridge freezer, I don't have a standalone freezer. The ice trays and the frozen beer mugs take up half the space.

So it will likely be frozen beef stew or red beans leftovers. But I also have some frozen crawfish boudin, and a stuffed chicken. And something that might have been potato soup once.

    Decisions . . .
  5. Mondays are typically known for red beans. I'd go with them.
  6. Red beans and rice with a good portion of that crawfish boudin sounds about as good as it gets (while making use of one of those frozen beer mugs, of course).
  7. Wendys....

does anyone else dip their chicken nuggets and fries in the frosty?
  8. No. And I never understood why people would do that. But my wife dips her fries in Mayonnaise. And I don't understand that either.
  9. I like to dip mine in ketchup and mustard mixed together.
  10. I dip nuggets and fries in a ketchup, tobasco, and Tony's mix. If I am eating fried seafood I sometimes add horseradish.
