  4. I've been trying to drop some pounds by eating a big salad and a small meal twice a day. But salad is getting old really quickly and I'm a salad lover. I'm running out of new salad dressing and toppings to try.

    Mom used to make a great wilted salad by drizzling bacon drippings over shredded fresh turnip greens. But I guess that wouldn't be much of a diet salad.
  5. i love wilted salads. hell, i love all salads. try olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a pinch of sugar, a pinch of salt, and some fresh groud pepper heated and whisked. pour it over baby greens. the healthy alternative to the bacon drippings type. tho i love the bacon drippings type!

  8. Having meat load with boiled eggs stuffed in the middle. :eek: Anybody ever heard of this? I don't get it. I asked the cook and he said it adds flavor. Still don't get it. But I will try it.
  9. It reminds me of my major professor. He was a commando in North Africa early in WWII and once attended a Bedouin wedding feast. They stuffed boiled eggs into fish, which they stuffed into chickens, which they stuffed into a sheep, which they stuffed into a camel and barbecued the whole thing for a day.
