Missing in all of this is the ramification of Holiday not being in the game today. Arkansas was able to be as aggressive as possible on running plays as we totally took the reverse out of the playbook.

Yeah - that's what we said after we won the NC in '58. Took JUST a few years to get back. :eek:ldskule:

You are making my point for me.

Where was Murphy? Where was Scott? Why is it that just about every time Scott is in, something big happens, yet he only gets the ball a couple of times? It boggles my mind...

    I'm with you on this.

Ultimately, however, 28 points in regulation has got to be enough to win a game.

On the passing play where Hillis scored Ali was picked by the Ark WR running a crossing route or slant. Watch it again and you will see Ali get a little bump that threw him off a step which was all that was needed. He still could have made the play, but it would have been a great one. Lining him up differently may or may not have made a difference, I deleted my recording so can't go back and make an assessment.

I am not saying that this was intentional and deserved a flag, just noting that they ran into each other.

I said "chance." I don't think we'll have much of a chance next year because of all the new personnel and the away games. I think we'll be in rebuilding mode, and I won't be expecting much. However, this year is different, ya know what I mean?

Well, you're right. 28 should be enough, but we are capable of more. We score that much just in the second half in most cases because we have such a slow start in the first half. Can you imagine the score if we ever played a complete game? We had 6 points in the first half!

The defense is another story.

You do realize that this is the HIGHEST scoring LSU offense of all time?
Think about that for a second. With 2 games remaining, they have already scored more points this year than ANY OTHER LSU team in history (including the '03 team).

The offense is doing their job.

Did you read the rest of my post?

If LSU played to their potential and talent, we'd look like the USC of the SEC. The offense didn't do their job in the 1st half.
