    Haha, I took that the wrong way, didn't I?

    With the clamp face being only an inch wide, I am assuming the parts it clamps are very thin, as in maybe a millimeter or two at most?

    Would it be used in the assembly/manufacture of antique era scientific instruments. Maybe scales?
