  4. OK, here is the BIG EASY hint. You will find this tool in a railroad shack.

  9. Normally they use a large prybar to extract railroad spikes.

    But in switches and crossings, some times the spike is in between close rails and they can't get the prybar in there. So they put the spike puller under the spike and then use the prybar on one of the lugs and the rail to pull the spike.

  10. That was a good one Red. My grandmother had an antique shop until I was 40ish. She had stuff like this in her store and would take the time to teach me what the items were.
