1. It looks pretty old. Growing up I remember it was illegal to break the skin but has since changed. I guess in the earliest of times it was legal to draw blood.

    BY FAR the best method is riding on the front of a crawfish boat in a crawfish lake and using hands. The vibration of the boat keeps them up but you have to lean out and catch it before the wake hits.

    We've caught 50+ more than once.

    Since there is a saw there too, I ain't so sure. Maybe it is to pull children out of the pool.

    The only thing is those passe-partouts are pretty universal in a Cajun's home and get put with everything.

  9. Dang! I thought for sure I could get a couple of days out of this one. Yep, it's an old school fish gaff. Who knew a hook on a pole would work better?!!
