It is a stretcher of some sort.

Ha, found it! It is a glove stretcher.

Good one. I had never seen one before and was just searching for clothes stretcher and the like. Googled leather stretcher, and this showed up as well as some sort of leather thing that stretched a dude's nut sack. Damn, the things you go through for this game!

Just be glad you didn't find an image of that! Or did you? :D

That's what I meant. I did the google search for leather stretcher, then clicked on images. Yeah, the nut stretcher showed up before the glove stretcher. Damn.

@KyleK: Damn is right! Thanks for not posting that one. As it is, I will need some time just to get rid of the concept.

I feel bad for you, man. It'll take some time--or a couple of drunken binges--to cleanse your memory.

I'm going to change it up a bit here. I tried two times earlier to upload an image and I am too lazy to go the bucket route. So, instead of posting an image and stumping everyone for a while then start dropping hints; I will start with a few hints and if you are unable to figure it out then the image if I am able to post it will be a dead giveaway.
    • Hints:
    • Its inventor died yesterday.
    • Everyone here has used one at some time and some certainly still do.
    • Its name is borrowed.
    • Back to the inventor. He invented this object long enough ahead of the demand for its technology that the patent expired and hardly profited from it, despite at least 1 billion of them sold.
Now anyone can be a cheesedick and Google the hints and get it right away. If you picked up the news of the inventor via internet headlines, TV, radio (like me) or even word of mouth; by all means chime in. We'll see how this goes while TF has an embargo on my uploads.
