1. Does it photocopy drafting & blueprints for electronic transmission/storage?
  2. No

    No.

Both guesses are in the ballpark but not correct.

Blueprints are the copy, not the original.

However, this machine is used in the process of making a copy of an original large format drawing. However, this machine was a huge advance in efficiency for architects and engineers when producing technical drawings. Can anyone tell me why? The clue is in the second picture.
  3. The series 100 changed the game because it lights up so bright
  4. lol. Think about something other than the light.
  5. The series 100 runs hot and needs fans because it so intense. Yunno because of the heating of the printing toner that copies blueprins at full size in the office
  6. Nope. It actually runs quite cool. It does not have toner (and if it did, you still don't heat toner). This machine is an exposure machine only. A separate machine does the developing.

Hint: This machine helped bridge the gap in efficiency between the old way of hand drawing every single detail on every single sheet of a set of plans and the modern way of using Auto Cad. We apparently don't have any architects/engineers in the room.
  7. If it runs so cool why does it have 3 fans on the side of it
  8. That is indeed the question.
  9. I think Kyle is lying and he has a simple lit drafting table

  10. You obviously have never spent any time at a drafting table.

I will give you one more pic. It will be obvious what the fans are for. Then lets see if you can figure out what this machine is used for.
