  3. This is it! Technically it is a precision altimeter. It is so sensitive that it will measure the thickness of a sheet of paper. I used it primarily in leveling houses, but can be used anywhere that you need to establish a level plane or grade. When I first started leveling/raising houses, it would take hours to establish baselines for the slab/foundation and I needed a helper. With this tool I could do it in 15 minutes by myself.

    Its used outside and while this one is aluminum, some are made with plastic handles.
