a great senior season for Skylar Green has been a travesty. And it's not Green's fault. I hope it's not a sign of what's to come, but this coaching staff obviously has no clue how to use him. I guess Jimbo doesn't remember two years ago when Skylar was a very important part in LSU winning the NC. I remember the screen plays called for him, the WR reverse plays they ran and now nothing. Green is, without a doubt, one of the best playmakers in all of college football. He's not Bush, but who is. And I know he was hurt all last year, but I thought for sure he was going to have his best season this year. I know we are in winning anyway, and that's awesome. But I wanted Skylar to go out with a bang and hopefully see him on Sunday's next year. I just hope that this "misuse" of Skylar is not going to be a pattern in the years to come.
Yeah it's been really disappointing how many players on offense have been used, misused, and underused this season. But we have won in spite of this, which has been great.
Agreed. Wish he was used more as well. I don't necessarily see it as a "pattern" though. The O has been somewhat conservative and the "wealth" so to speak seems to be spread around. I recall one play in particular in which he gained mucho yardage on a short slant pass play against Arky in '02. It may have gone for a TD (I don't recall), but I do recall many yards gained after the catch. Skyler is certainly an electrifying presence. :geauxtige
OK for all you crybabies, I'll change my avatar back to LSU. Please Ang, can we be friends? Get a life people.
Green ran an end around last night and busted it for 5 yards. He's been great returning punts but right now, I'd take Bowe and Davis as my starting wideouts.
Can you please tell us: Who is Ang?? And in answer to the original purpose of this thread: :bncry::bncry: Skyler is what he is...and it ain't Reggie Bush, unlike what a lot of myopians like to think.
