Got this from dandydon I think everyone will agree that we need a QB next year with some brains. Looking back at the way Mauck played I realize that his strength was in his intelligence. We don't need someone that is going to put up big numbers, we just need someone who is consistent with a head on his shoulders. For example, take Roethsliberger (sp?) in Pittsburgh. I don't think he has thrown for 200 yds in a game yet, but he is undefeated. This due to his intelligence and a strong run game. Comments on Reever?
LSU is undefeated under Nick Saban when it has scored more than 24 points. We simply need a QB who can manage the offense. IMHO all QBs will be given a shot this spring and rightly so.
In one of Saban's interviews, he mentioned a QB we have not on scholarship who was "alright". I assume he meant Reever. If this kid doesn't get a scholarship for next year, he probably isn't good enough to be the team's QB.
