  3. I'm a "Jr." named after my dad and my first name is a little funny. Having it called on the 1st day of school (each year) along with my mom being a teacher at my middle school made it difficult to be cool at that age.

    We were close to picking "Quinn" for my youngest son's name but changed it after we noticed that it seemed to be more common for girls. I was at Craig Biggio's 3,000th hit game and his daughter Quinn came onto the field to celebrate. That was the night we opened up the discussion again (when my wife was 7 months pregnant, settled on James).

  5. Millennials seem to think that children's names need to be unique like a login name. It leads to absurdities. In my first grade class, 90 percent of the kids had one of the top 30 names and it was never a problem.
