1. Friday the film "We are Marshall" hits the theaters and I definately plan to see it. I encourage everyone to see the link on Rival.com football. There are several stories about the tragedy and the film. I stayed up last night until 1:00am reading them. Interesting information on Bobby Bowden and his role in the tragedy.
  2. I want to see that movie too.

    :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
  3. I'm seeing the new Rocky movie instead. It's going to be a trainwreck but I still want to see it.
  4. Was Marshall a pro football team...?

Anyway, it looks like a really good movie. I will have to read up on what actually happened before watching it because all I really know is that there was a plane crash.
  5. I've heard the opposite. Apparently it's actually supposed to be good.
  6. the marshall movie looks awful to me, a cheap tearjerker, where they announce all kinds of nonsense to each other, trying to sound poignant.
  7. Only Martin could write this post. What is your judgement based on?
  8. Why not see both? Not on the same day of course.

  9. the previews. the movie appears very overwrought, and it seems incredibly unlikely the events happened the way the portrayed them.

also movies that portray actual events are almost always completely pointless, unless they are a documentary, because they are sort of pretending to be a true story in order to be interesting. the events almost never transpired the same way the movie presents. and of course, the main goal of this movie appears to be to make women cry.
