1. Did anyone else think that Byrd was significantly indterfered with on that last catch? Of course, it makes no difference since LSU won the game, but can you imagine if Byrd had missed and there was no flag. The ending could have been...Auburn wins yet anouther game due to a non-called interference. Or maybe no one else thought it occurred. Just wanted to see if any one else thought the same.:geauxtige
  2. yea but no one will get that call on the last play of the game, especially with a FG still to be kicked
  3. To be perfectly honest with you I have no idea how Byrd caught that ball. He was covered like a blanket and it was like the ball went through the defender. Incredible catch, Doucet is the only other receiver we have that makes that catch. I really don't know of another receiver in the league that makes that catch, seriously. I don't know if he will get SEC player of the week or not. He gets my vote. Pure determination.
TOUCHDOWN! TIGERS WIN, TIGERS WIN, TIGERS WIN!!!
  4. yes there was.

i was second row up right where demetrius caught the ball. i said this earlier, that looking back at the no call, i was a little PO'd. Just because like you said, if that ball was not caught, the FG would have been much closer.

And then if that ball would have been bobbled and missed, with the PI called... The clock would have ran out, but they would have given us one more play, correct?!?
  5. It's irrelvant. We won... and they didn't.
  6. I know...but no flag for that play. Consistent with the rest of the officiating. :thumb:
  7. Maybe... but what would did you expect.
  8. That is the correct. A game (or half) cannot end on defensive penalty. If time had run out and the interference called there would then be one untimed down and then, game over.
  9. and he caught it one handed
  10. For sure it was a great catch. I'd say there was interference, but our dbs are known for playing the receiver tight too. It would have been devestating had he missed the pass and gotten no PI - I'd be pretty upset, but we may have gotten some favorable calls through the course of the game. Whatever the case, not impressed with the officials, though I acknowledge they have a tough job.
