For those who don't know, The Wal-Mart on Acadian and Perkins is a great place to meet LSU sports players. Today I met Joseph Addai and Travis Daniels and had the pleasure of getting their autographs. They were both nice guys and didn't object in the least to signing my cap. Previously I have met Lionel Turner, Ross Neltner, Charlie Thompson, and Paul Wolfert in this same store.
Damn right! I value my life! :thumb: Used to go there frequently when I was in college and could not help but notice there was always a lot of police there. Now of course there was the recent police officer shooting there. Just has not ever been a very safe place to be late night unfortunately.
I wouldn't make a trip to Ghetto-Mart after dark to meet the Pope. There is ample oppurtunity to meet student atheletes on campus. Its a lot safer that way.
You guys talking about the Wal-Mart by the Caterie? I always go to that Wal-Mart to buy some cheap LSU apparel.
If cops get killed there, I don't want to be there when the sun goes down. That place ranks up there on my "places to go in Baton Rouge" right along with the La Quinta Inn on Acadian near the Interstate, Club Raggs while wearing a Bocephus shirt, or Gus Young Road after getting a flat and not being able to get cell coverage... If you wanna go out like Charles Bronson Death Wish-style, then go ahead...But I'm no glutton for execution style violence, personally...
