I can't read your mind and don't even try. I go by what you say. "Juries are sympathetic" and "This guy was never going to get convicted" are not the same thing. The first was ambiguous about the verdict. Then they announced the verdict. The second was retroactively emphatic and specific about its outcome. Then you claimed that you said that at the beginning, when it was clear that you did not. Don't come to a battle of wits half-armed. Perhaps we should examine the entrails of a chicken to determine The Truth.

Maybe if a woman had ever given you the chance to procreate, and you had kids... then witnessed your children killed by someone else's negligence and disregard for those around him, you can't say what your mindset would be. MAYBE if this had happened while he was at work or not at the scene, cooler heads would have prevailed... but to witness your kids plowed through like a human road block, not even you oh great wizard could predict what you'd do.
