That's what I was thinking. Spurrier thinks game will be played without problem. "Officials" seem to think the water will recede in 2 days. I'd expect it to crest in 2-3 days but I'm not sure what kind of drainage/runoff we talking about over there.

A report from the Weather Channel called it possibly the worst flooding the state’s “ever seen.” Downtown Columbia, South Carolina – home to USC – has received more than 10 inches of rain since the event began Friday.

Spurrier said officials expect the flooding to recede in the next two days, and he doesn’t expect it to affect the team’s preparation for the LSU game, starting with Monday’s practice.

The game should not be affected, the coach indicated. The Tigers and Gamecocks meet at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. South Carolina announced Sunday that campus would be closed Monday.

Flooding is terrible in Columbia, probably worse than coast! Saw somewhere where there is no water in the dorms, drinking/bathing water, that is.

LSU 31, South Carolina 17. LSU’s offense is pretty much a one-man show. Unfortunately for South Carolina, that one man is probably the best college football player in the country.

LF has 99 carries for 864 yards. Our other three backs have 54 carries for 321 yards. Harris, Jackson and Dural have 28 carries for 170 yards. Let them think that.
