But short of Lowder everyone associated with the failed attempt at firing him are gone. So who is he mad at now? Hard to be mad at the school itself. The fans were clearly behind him when the whole thing went down talking about how it was handled very poorly. If they were going to do it, they at least could have waited till after their biggest rivalry. Or so the story went around Alabama...Maybe being here in Birmingham is throwing me off on this one but it would be pure stupidity on Tommy's part to leave what he has built in Auburn for anything especially Arkansas. Now, would I like to see it? Yes, because it would probably bring AU to it's knees right now if he left. I just think there is greater chance of it snowing in hell than this happening. Just my opinion...
If you read the whole thread it's not a lot different than some here. I see a few Auburn a-holes being stirred up by an LSU guy I have never seen on the board before. I also see some sane posts. But I don't see anyone saying anything nasty about LSU, just the usual smack arguing about the same old stuff. Change the names and it could be almost any school's board.:grin:
Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that it's Auburn. My cousin doesn't go to any old school, she goes to Auburn. :angryfire It's not just a minority, it's an extremely vocal minority.
Last week a source very close to the AU program said he was going to Texas A&M. I guess if you don't succeed on the first rumor, start another one. But just a hint.......recruiting season is heating up and the bammers love to start rumors to get any advantage they can:grin: Fact is Tubs and his wife love Auburn (the school and the community) and have always said they want the kids to finish school there

Now that just makes zero sense. You are speaking as a fan that does not like Bauburn, not that I can blame you one bit but that has nothing to do with Tubby and his situation at Auburn or maybe I should say lack of a situation because I doubt very seriously there is any talk of him going anywhere. I mean come on people, ground yourselves in reality just for a minute. After surviving the failed coup, losing the players the AU did after an 13-0 season and then rebuilding as well as they did why in the world would you leave to go to a program like Arkansas? I said it before and I will say it again, I would love to see it happen to bring AU to their knees but this rumor is based in idiocy. Unfortunately the man is going nowhere any time soon.
I have no idea whether this rumor has any basis whatsoever. BUT, if a company tried to go behind my back & hire my replacement and I went on to prove myself as the best employee they'd ever had - that wouldn't make me want to stay, even if they had fired my boss. So I will continue to entertain thoughts of Tubby leaving Auburn for as long as they continue. :hihi:
But that was the point, they didn't just fire his boss. They cleaned house with eveyone associated with the incident except Lowder. Supposedly he didn't know they were using his plane to do the deed. I say horse pucky and he knew but whatever. Everyone in this state knows that amazingly enough through that whole thing he wound up being the only one left standing and weilding a mighty big stick in the process. But aside from that, if you were a coach would you leave what is at AU right now to go to Arkansas?
