You would think if TTech could just get a few key defensive players, mainly a couple of great cover corners and a couple of stud pass rushers, this team could go pretty damn far. If you notice, no one ever tries to run the ball constantly on this team....they automatically just go to the air and the shootout ensues. So basically screw a run defense, just get the key players like I indicated to make it somewhat difficult to pass on you and I think you would have a recipe for a championship contender. And no I am not out of my mind....I really believe that. If I were the number 1 cornerback coming out of high school, I would go to Texas Tech....you wouldn't be bored...that's for sure...and could make your name well known.
Tech's D coord. is the guy who gave Leach his first job. Tech usually has one or two d players, but never a good package. Reagor (DE) at Indy was from TTU, they had a stud end freshman last year who promptly failed out of school. I so wanted to see what Leach could do with LSU type players. He can't get top tier Oline guys to come to TTU either.
They don't really need any better O-line players, altho you would think that upper tier O-line people would want to participate in such a successful offensive program. I would just like to see them target those players I indicated above, get a legit defensive coordinator and see what happens. Of course, it may all be moot since the time of possession will always be a negative working against the D of TTech, and you are asking for the D to be on the field for way too much of the time. I think as a defensive coordinator, you just bend but dont break...don't give up the big play...don't allow the opposing team to get it all back in a hurry...make them work for every yard...and hopefully come up with key turnovers...I think that's your best shot
its French for "you" let's just assume he meant UT. maybe he thinks they are Texas University...I dunno Can anyone pinpoint the time in which the extreme hatred for UT by LSU fans (and visa-versa) started to build? It's really odd cuz we don't play each other except for bowl games, and even that's rare. I mean I see it here in Austin, believe me. I hate going to the sports bar if the UT game is on at the same time. I just remember some UT fans pulling for whoever is playing LSU. These people get me sick.
