There are often good sound reasons for businesses to file for chapter 11.

It's way more common than anyone thinks. It is not at all like a personal bankruptcy.

More of a good business strategy in the right circumstances. Didn't GM and Ford file bankruptcy a few years ago and now they are selling as many cars as ever.

Ford didn't and did not take a bailout. Chevy and Chrysler did.

That was the whole scam of "Obama saved the auto industry and killed Bin Laden". They screwed over bond holders and gave a large part to the unions instead of going through normal Chapter 11 bankruptcy which works, just like the airlines. Never let a good crisis go to waste. It was payback for the election support from big labor.
