The problem with putting Holliday in the games is that the other team knows he is getting the ball because he is a too small to be a effective blocker. However, he could be used like Bush as a decoy.

So let's just keep running the RB's that have produced nothing against the likes of Fresno and Tulane. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the Einstein's definition of insanity.

I was thinking that giving Scott playing time after the AU loss was preparation to play him in the UF game, but I was wrong. I hope I'm not wrong in thinking that giving Scott, Williams, and Holliday PT during the last games is preparation for giving them PT for the UT game.

If Miles continues his pattern of trying to pound the ball with AB and JV against top tiered teams, when they can't even do it against Tulane and ULL, we will know what kind of coach we have. One that is hard headed, gets out coached in the big games, and can't adjust at half time and doesn't try anything different in the big games.

CParso, I'm not attacking you because I believe you have been frustrated too this season, but I'm just tired of Miles trying AB and JV in big games when they have produced nothing against the cup cakes. What sense does that make? Sure the OL is bad...but Scott and company have had success, and I don't care if they are freshman, you have to give opportunities to these kids at some point. I will not be pissed at Miles at all if he gave them a chance adn they fumbled. Crap we have upper classmen loosing games for us by fumbling in the UF game. So I don't want to hear the freshman excuse. Look at what JV and AB did in their freshman years.

Parso is right, they are reluctant but when push comes to shove and what you're doing isn't as effective as you need you have to give it a try. There have even been true freshman QB's (off the top of my head, wasn't Fulmer in that sit with Ainge).

I'm not the football historian, can anyone think of other situations?

I wouldn't mind seeing Scott and Williams play, but Williams didn't look any better than Broussard against Fresno. Both were put in later in the game when the other guys were already a bit tired. It seemed like we used the running game sparingly in the first half, with Scott and Hester carrying most of the load and getting moderate results. I'd like to think we'll be able to run the ball against Tennessee, but I hope more that our passing game can be effective so that it might open up the ability for our backs to run the ball.
