Tiger Injuries

LSU will likely go into their toughest stretch of the year without their top two receivers. I can't believe Early will be 100 percent next week. And LaFell's got a strained achilles. He was limping all over the place against Tulane.

Also, Flynn doesn't move around at all with that ankle. Opposing D lines can pin back their ears and play Meet Ya At the QB every time Matt takes a 5 or 7 step drop.

    Tigers got problems vs. Gators.

    Official Tiger Inuries Thread...

    They're mounting up folks...

    Flynn--High ankle sprain
Doucet--Groin (Is it strained or torn?)
    Lafell--Achilles
    Alexander--ACL...Out for the year
    Murphy--TBD

This is not a good omen. Particularly with the schedule that we've got coming up. Post updates and comments please.

Good thing we can run so well. With our 2 top recievers out our running game will have to carry us.

We have good backups. Injuries will heal over the course of the season. Just no more season enders.

Indeed, I am really worried about injuries, I hope we can overcome that.
That will beat us before Florida's ability ever will this year.
The Fla vs Ole Miss game as well as AU tonite tells me everything I Need to know about Fla and their overrated offense.

    I have 2 questions:

1)Why was Flynn left in for almost the entire game against Tulane when he is obviously not 100% and is throwing terrible and is thinking more about his ankle than WR's when in the pocket?
-Give RP lots of playing time in case he is needed against UF, plus give time for MF's ankle to heal. Keep playing banged up players and they never heal or get hurt worse.

2)Why was Lafell left in for the rest of the game after getting hurt. The other WR's are studs and have been doing a very good job. We need him next week so why stay out there hurting yourself more?

I think the coaches have something special planned for RP next week. They just didnd't want to use him too much today and also to try to get Flynn back into rhythm as well. People seem to forget that despite his average game, Flynn did throw for 260 yards.

Expect RP to play more next week against a much more athletic defense than Tulane's. I have a hunch we will need him to make some plays.

Demetrius Byrd today made me feel better about our WR situation, but then LaFell was limping around. Tolliver has also looked great and the two Mitchells are playing decent. But we need Doucet and LaFell for this four game stretch, every game is crucial.

Also, sort of a side question but, what's the deal with Ricky Dixon? Why's he not getting playing time with all these injuries?
