I dont know how willing he would be to leave OSU but he is a heck of a coach. I am also an Aggie fan so I have seen this guy coach tons of games. OSU was sorry before he showed up and he has turned them into a solid team and now recruiting is starting to follow. Anybody think that he would be a good fit at LSU? I know the OSU fans love him. :geaux:

I'm seeing his name pop up quite a bit this evening. Don't know much about him, other than he gives Bob Stoops fits...which can't be all that bad, eh?

Im sure that LSU could off him a raise and a chance to play for a national championship - something he wont have at OSU. Also alot better area for recruiting. LSU is also the only big name program in the state unlike in OK where they have big brother to deal with. Plenty of reasons.

I guess we will be hearing a lot of names soon. I don't think Bertman will wait long to hire someone. We are still in good shape as far as saving recruits. The biggest sell is that they will still be part of a great team. I look for our recruit status to remain in the top ten.

What are the names that are "officially" out there? I know WAFB had a lsit but I missed it.

The same reason Mike Leach would leave Texas Tech: they'll never win big at their current programs as long as Bob Stoops gets his mail in Norman and Mack Brown gets his in Austin.

Toss in the fact that, a-hole he may be, Coach Fran is a good coach and OSU and Tx Tech look consigned to battling for 4th place in the Big 12 South for the near future, at least.

Because just like Saban was at Michigan State: Miles has to compete with a "bigger dog" in the state. If given the chance to be THE big dog, he should have even better success.

Les will not be great here. In Sabans tenure, how many players have gotten suspended... Maybe 2 for selling rings... Les has a couple of players suspended for their bowl game and have had many in the past.

They have had some troubles but didn't we have 2 players suspended for the Sugar Bowl. And we had 2 players make the news this year I believe. And we suspended our AWOL safety a couple of seasons ago. And I would be willing to bet the house that a coach at a second tier school like OSU has to take a gamble now and then on a kid whereas at LSU a good recruiter can be much more picky. I think you need to dig a little deeper before shooting arrows at Miles program. If they have had a lot of guys doing those things, if their grad rates are getting worse, then I will agree with you.
