a bit of an understatement. the more i think about it, the more i think we could do better. he's been around long enough to be better. he's big and has a cannon, so what?!!! if you swap JR for Clausen we win the stinking game. can you beleive that? JR made two big mistakes, but what bugs me more is that he gets rattled. several times the OL did what it was supposed to do and form a pocket around him and he gets scared--either running or usually hitting some dump route while on the run, instead of staying poised and firing it downfield.
yep I believe it. some times a blue chip recruit turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread and sometimes he doesn't. The JR supporters will jump on me for saying this but from day one he has performed WAy under his hype as a recruit. 3rd string QB's that quit LSU perform better. And not just at tenn either. right now I'd rather have jay cutler, Shockley, Mauck, or anyone that plays with some consistantcy. Some one said it early on in here, we don't need a Brett Farve QB, we have enough talent at other positions, what we do need is a consistant player with ball handling ability, some one that makes few mistakes. What we do have is a loose cannon that is just as likely to take out the TAF seating section as the visitors. this is great when he is on, however it sucks balls when he is off.
I'm not sure I'm ready to blame Jamarcus for anything yet. He played well enough to win even with the mistakes. The coaching staff ran the offense at half throttle in the second half.
