Last year they had real tickets and the priority points. So the e-mail tickets are not because of postseason requests. What gets me is student print out the tickets and the Ticket Office still has the nerve to charge a "processing fee." FOR WHAT? What the hell did the ticket office do to deserve a Ticketmaster like charge? My friends like it better than the real tickets. Well, except when it rains because the ink runs. Whats hurting the TS atmosphere is the lack-luster home schedule and the people who really don't care about LSU football getting season tickets over the ones who do. I agree that they should go back to the first come first serve type deal. But where theres money to be made, it will be made.
yes, of course. But I sit by the north endzone! Saban would always play to the student section too even if it meant going on offense first, if I'm not mistaken.
At least the students have the opportunity to receive these points for a better chance at tickets, members of the Tiger Band don't get points for going to ANY of the football games...not a damn one...And we are at every single one of them leading the cheers and keeping the fans pumped with the songs that we play. The University's #1 leaders of cheering ( sorry cheerleaders...but it is true at football games...come to think of it I don't think they get points either, could be wrong). Does the SGA and Administration care about that and seek to reward us? NO, and that really pisses me off.:angryfire o: :angryfire
Does LSU bring a full band to the postseason games? I guess it would be hard to convince LSU to give up that many of their tickets. I sat by the band in the SECCG in 03'. It seemed like it was a full band.
Are/were there any games you missed because of LSU not giving band members points? (No sarcasm, just wondering)
"You must spread some reputation before giving it to Red55 again" Never had that problem in the early 80's either, I don't understand how the student section could not be filled to capacity and then some. What else would a student be doing on a saturday night when LSU is playing?
Thye used to clip off the bottom in a v-shape below the letter denoting that game. It was a great system, unless you lost your ID when drunk.... ...no, I never did THAT...:hihi:
I'm not a fan of the priority point system. Some people just can't make games...it's that simple. I would prefer the old fashioned way: waiting in line outside of the ticket office for postseason tickets. That's the only fair way IMO.
