I'm Bama through and through but am also a former college athlete and a person with just enough common sense to keep my head above water. I'm all for trash talking, talked it when I played ball. Was dang good at it. But one thing I've always lived by and it has benefited me quite well in life. If you're going to trash talk, do it to somebody you've beat within the last four to five years. Because when you talk trash to fans of teams that have beat you like a rented mule for four to five consecutive years you come off stupid and have ZERO credibility or respect. Having said that. I do believe given Bama's talent level and Saban's ability to recruit we will be a top ten team and be it on a consistent basis. We were relatively competitive against teams that were physically more prepared, mentally more prepared and up until 05-06 just simply had more quality depth than we did. Everything I just mentioned will get better under Saban. Most LSU fans (as they've expressed) believe Bama (even with Saban) will never be anything more than a mid tier SEC team that sneaks up on you every few years. That's fine we don't always have to agree. But let's beat somebody first before we start trash talking. :thumb:
It wont happen over night...but give them 2 or 3 years and it will be there, as much as you doubt it and hate it, it will be. This post really isn't to stir the pot...Just to get honest answers this is what I mean, already making excuses

Guys, I don't have a problem with the bama nation defending saban. I would expect that. But why are so many posts about how Miles will lead a downward spiral? Of course LSU fans are going to come to Miles defense
