That's the brunt of the contengency, the way he left Miami AFTER he'd left us the same way..."In the middle of the night". We were disappointed when he left but knew that day would come; however, when virtually the same scenario played out again it showed some character flaws. In the South, a man is as good as his word and his ain't no good.

At least give him the same amount of time Miles had to build relationships and recruit if your going to make a statement like that.

If we finish behind LSU in recruiting considerably next year....It would be fair to throw it out then.

I gotta say this on this board since I could never get away with saying it on Tidefans, and I'm cool with that. So much was made of the Luther Davis situation by Bama fans, but where are the hundreds of threads about Corley? I won't mention Phelon Jones, because, quite frankly, he was NEVER yours. But even when Corley was here on that last weekend visit, the Bama site was full of posts about how Corley was Bama's, and was just coming to LSU out of courtesy. I didn't want to stir the pot there, but I did tell them that he may just be serious. Fact is, anybody without crimson glasses would have seen that he was indeed coming to LSU, and he is a far better player, and more importantly, person, than Luther Davis. So tell me, where is this recruiting giant named Saban? Yeah, I know, he only had a little over a month, right? But Corley, according to you guys, wasn't even on our radar, and was just paying a courtesy visit. Truth is, Saban had more time to recruit Corley than did Les Miles, and we see how that turned out for you.

I know you say you're not here to stir anything up, just want honest answers. The proof is in the pudding, my man. You don't need to come here looking for answers. Just look at the recruiting results. Maybe you should be posing this question on an Auburn board. That's the team that will likely be affected by Saban at Bama. As for us, we aren't even impressed, much less scared. Will Bama get better? I sure hope so. When you're on the bottom, there's only one way to go! But they'll not close the gap enough to matter for a while, and Saban doesn't stay in one place for much more than a while, so this is an irrelavant topic. You guys hate Miles, we hate Saban. Get over it, already. All I hear from Bama fans is how we spend too much time worrying about Bama. Look in the friggin' mirror, man. Check Tidefans.com, and there are just as many Les Miles threads as there are Saban threads, and here we have Bama fans starting Saban threads for us!:dis:

And in all honesty, for coming in late, he did about as well as can be expected. He lost some key in-staters but they weren't really his to lose in the first place.

I thought he built a wall around LA! He allegedly already had relationships here, and is responsible for the talent we have now, and will have in the future! I figured half our team would transfer to Bama just for the chance to play for him.

That's the truth. Everyone knows that Saban has credibility isssues, not a lot of people who arent Bama fans believe a word he says. That was the case with the two mobile guys we got, Jones and Corley.

It's quite realistic for Bama to go 6-6 as well with losses to LSU, FSU, AU, GA, Arkansas and TN. I'd say 8-4 is more realistic and just watch Gump Nation bitch and moan about the money Saban makes.

Saban may finish ahead of Miles next year in recruiting rankings but early indications are LSU will easily have another Top 5 class next year. Hard to beat that. The Gump nation's fixation on what LSU thinks of Saban just reeks of insecurity knowing Bama is/has been/will be third in the SEC West for a while.

Sure, there is a chance, the beauty of it is bammers will say if they lose, then saban didn't have his team in place yet, if they win, it was superior coaching, even if LSU slams bama, Miles and LSU get no credit. The question is, when do you guys give credit to Miles. That's the problem I have with bama fans, they aren't just crowing about being back on top when they haven't won a game, they have to constantly run their mouths about the demise of Miles and LSU. Better check, 22-4 and a top notch recuiting class, face it LSU is not going away. By the way, this kind of post will get an LSU fan banned over at the super sensitive Tidefans.com. At least this fourum is confident enough to let you guys come here and talk a little trash!!

Losing to FSU??? With all the problems they have had the past 5 seasons and especially now...no. Arkansas with their primetime soap opera going on??
Like I said...I'm waiting for the "Fire Les Miles" threads...
