At summer drills, Coach Miles worked on a lot of draws, trick plays, and roll-outs with Ryan, he told Ryan to know the entire playbook by fall, but to focus specifically on 25-30 plays in general C.) Les doesn't want to red-shirt Ryan, because he feels it would make him 'lose interest' in this season. So if you won't red-shirt him, you may as well play him a bit... So he was told to be prepared for action in a role similar to DJ Shockley D.) JaMarcus Russell has met his weight goal.. I eat the crow for this, b/c I said it couldn't be done, but RP said he talked to him the other day, and he was 2 lbs off... E.) LSU will run a variety of 2 back and 1 back sets... In almost all the 2 back sets, Broussard or Vincent will be the back... In the 1-Back sets, you will see Addai and Carey Now you can take that for what you want... You can be angry, say I'm lying, or whatever, but I have never intentionally lied before... And you can search the archives... you will NEVER find one time talking about RP where I haven't been at least 85% on
Thanks for the info Cgisclair. I don't think you're lying...hell, this time of year, everything is conjecture (hence all the confusion and conflicting stories.) So any info from close to the source is welcome. Isn't that a great benefit of having forums like this???
True...Les said early on that any player can talk to the media, including Freshman. What I meant by missing the point is this - I am not lobbying for one QB over another. You said you talked to RP - I believe you. Now I will tell you my source - Matt Flynn. He truly believes he'll be the starter come opening day. Whether he does, JM does or RP does - doesn't matter...IMO that's a great attitude for all 3 to have. I can't wait for the season!
