"I think the best way to prepare a quarterback is to give him all the reps and put him in every situation and prepare him fully to be your best quarterback," Miles said. "Ideally we're going to put one quarterback on the field, and he'll be our starter." "I think that if there are times where you have quarterbacks with different talents, that see different pieces of the field or different pieces of the playbook," he said, "I have no problem with a two-quarterback system." -Coach Les Miles, SEC Media Days.
I thought he said all that while not yet at LSU. then he signed, and stopped talking and doing interviews. Freshman can't do interviews or press can they? or has it changed? I certainly don't think so.
HEY ROCKY TOP---UNLIKE TENN. (OR USC)----YOU CAN "TRUST" ME ON THIS ONE. HE WILL BE THE ONLY PLAYER ON THE LSU TEAM WITH HIS HANDS UNDER ANOTHER PLAYER'S BUTT. :hihi: :thumb:
Miles does not believe in that rule, but he did sit down with RP right after he signed and have a long heart to heart with him.
Changing your story I see. Some of you guys must think we have a head coach with absolutely no credibility at all when you post this crap. Ro say any recruit was promised this or that or told that there is a plan for him to play 15-20 plays a game when he has 2 QB's working there butt off already on campus. The fact of the matter is, they will tell a guy whether or not they think he can come in and compete for a starting job or a back up position or whether it looks like he will be redshirted. No coach with any credibility whatsoever is going to promise a recruit a certain number of plays, or that he'll be number 2 on the depth chart or anything of that nature, until he actually gets on campus and gets to prove how good he is. ,
Cajdav, Coach Miles can say that the plan is for Perrilloux to play as a rotation QB similar to DJ Shockley all he wants & not lose credibility. It's the tentative plan, ASSUMING Perrilloux is able to come in, learn the system & compete. Either way, there's no denying that Ryan brings certain skills to the table that the other 2 QBs can't. Those abilities fit right into coach Miles' quote - which you seem to be ignoring.
