Of course it will happen. To try and allow yourself to believe anything else is just nutty. If CLM wasn't absolutely in love with it he would have scrapped it last year, not only did he not, he went and got 2 more guys that can run it (alledgedly). Here comes more of the same.

Is Stephen Rivers really not that good to where someone could come in and jump him on the depth chart right away?

I think most people would be surprised if Mettenberger doesn't pan out...stronger arm, quicker decision making, more accurate at least than Jefferson, can find the defenders better than Jarrett Lee, doesn't panic like both Jarrett "throw off my back foot" Lee and Jordan "feet don't fail me now" Jefferson. Amazing how much confidence it gives fans when a guy drops backs smoothly, makes quick decisions, and then delivers the ball with a decent motion including stepping into the throw. I don't consider there is a track record here. I guess people don't watch much Texas football because Les Miles could have exchanged QBs with Mack Brown last year and both teams would still have the same problem. LSU had Jefferson and Lee....Texas had McCoy (brother of Coit) and a guy named Ash(e). It was funny to watch Texas....McCoy would go in there and screw up....then Ash would be put in and he would look horrible...then McCoy would go back in. Sound familiar? It should...that is why teams play 2 QBs

As John Madden always says, "if a coach tells you they have 2 QBs, that really means they don't have 1." :D

Nope, he hasn't. In fact he has only thrown for over 240 yards 1 single time....17 for 26 for 284 yards against Tenn last season.
