1. I remember I got London Calling the week it came out & was blown away. I remember thinking this will finally kill Disco! And it definitely helped, lol. Ironically, I was visiting some relatives in PA. when I bought it. I think it was the best album of 1979. London Calling, Clampdown, Train... everything worked. I love the Ramones too.

  5. Ah! My favorite song from Combat Rock! Although Should I Stay or Should I Go is great too. Almost posted something from Sandinista as well. Great band. I think your right about the studio versions as well. I was like just barely 15 when I got London Calling, I remember the MTV videos well.

  6. I have the original LPs & then later on bought the Mobile Fidelity cds of 2112, Permanent Waves & Moving Pictures. They sound pretty damn awesome, imo. Prices are now unbelievable, because out of print. Who knew..collectible cds..
