I liked the Blue Cheer version when they played it on the radio but when the Who released their version it blew me away.
Bo Diddley was banned from the Ed Sullivan show after this for not singing the song Ed wanted him to sing.
I saw him up close at the jazzfest. I was dancing by myself when 3 Delta stewardesses joined me. We spent the rest of the fest together. Great memories of a great performance !!
