I forgot to add, the freaking "Rooster" was actually at the show. Came out on stage prior to them playing it for the finally. That was pretty cool.

My kids are leaning toward Friday - Christina Aguilera. I'm leaning toward Saturday - Springsteen. So much going on, it really doesn't matter when you go. It's all good. God I love south La.

A recent rare Steve Perry stage sighting:

He still has a voice but that band was putrid.

I once went to a James Brown concert and I was very much in the minority:)

Man depending on how long ago it was that was brave. Black folk were pretty angry back in the day. That could have not worked out so well for you.

Was in the mid 70's. I can't remember what year. I did have a great time. My blonde girlfriend was a bit uncomfortable at first but then she loosened up. I was surprised that there weren't more white people there. I know a lot of white folks who love the Godfather of Soul.

    AWWWWWOOOOOW! I FEEL GOOD!

A friend and I went to a club in Port Allen to see BB King in 1974. We were definitely the only white people in there and we got a lot of suspicious looks but nobody hassled us at all. I figured it was because we were long-haired freaks and they knew we were hip and simpatico. Peace brother. But on the way out the door man asked us, "Did you enjoy the show, officer?"
