I just heard they are moving all the people from NO to Houston How did they get the buses into NO and how are they going to move all those people to the Astro dome? I am unable to look at the news right now
I keep hearing there is one way in and out of New Orleans. I think they are going to try to get these buses as close as they can to the Dome to load evacuees. Here's the story from WWL ... Evacuation
They are using 310 to the West Bank Highway, all the way to the CCC and then to the dome. Right now that is the only way to drive out of New Orleans.
is the looting going to start in BR with all those busses coming through? I've already heard (rumor) that looting has been reported in BR.....but that was just rumor and cannot back it up.
Those buses will not stop in BR ... they'll have a police escort directly to Houston. I have not heard of any looting in BR, but would not be surprised if that happens in certain areas. What pisses me off is that they are trying to rescue and evacuate the thugs in the New Orleans prisons. I'm sorry, but they would be the absolute last group I'd be concerned about.
your house doesn't have to be empty for someone to come in. But what about businesses without power. With all these desperate people coming through, you never know.
That is what piss me off also, those thugs will be last people i would worry about. How in the world are all those people going to survive in the astrodome. Are these people going ot be allowed to rome the streets
not sure but i know they put a curfew for refugees. The doors at the River Center will close and be locked at dusk and will not open til dawn.
