In a LEGAL sense. NOT in a medical OR personal OR practical sense. So. your only contention is that the misuse/abuse is in the illegality of it. That's certainly a much easier argument than approaching the moral issue. It figures that the only way you look at or address this issue is from A LEGAL viewpoint. The dictionary definition does not distinguish what is legal and what is ethical. Also, I do not just focus on what is legal. Morals considerations are also important to me, as evidenced by my theology degree from Notre Dame Seminary. Considering all the personal and social costs are attributable to other drugs - both legal and illegal - it would be unethical to legalize another one. My position is as much moral as it is legal.
right, but your ideas about ethics and morals are personal and should not extend to what other people can and cannot do to themselves. you are not our parent and you shouldnt be giving the thumbs up and thumbs down to the various intoxicants we want to use.
