with Rick Clausen at the helm. What are you guys scared of. I agree on all points about last nights coaching, secondary, dropped balls, no fire etc...
IMO, that ASU team would spank UT. I just don't buy all the "we gonna need this" and "we gonna need to do that" in order to beat the Vols. Yes we must improve in all phases of our game, but **** UT, there's nothing special about them. We'll see next week when they play UF.

I am more worried about playing Florida right now than Tennessee

I'm not scared of Tenn at all. They're just "Michigan South", a breathtakingly overrated team that's about to get exposed.

I am scared of Florida. Sure, LSU's pass defense will improve as the season goes on, but so will Florida's grasp of Urban's offense.

That game has me quite worried.

I doubt we'll see from any SEC team anything close to the passing offense we saw last night. Florida will probably present the biggest passing game challenge for us.

I know we dog the Pac 10 for being weak, but they know how to throw the ball in that league. OSU had some success throwing the ball against us last year as well.

Thankfully they don't play much defense in that league...

The TN dee WILL not let teams score 30+. All eyes on TN/FLA next week.

I expect the game has FLA opening as a slight favorite, prolly 2-3 pts

Not that I put much faith in him, but Sagarin has UAB ranked #23 compared to Arizona State at #51.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt05.htm

By his ratings Tennessee should have beaten UAB by 8; and LSU should have beaten ASU by 12. LSU looks to be the team underperforming the most at this time.

This is the same Sagarin poll that had Harvard ranked ahead of Alabama, Minnesota, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Maryland at the end of 2004, all of which should have spanked Harvard soundly.

Take Fagarin's results with a Morton's container of salt.

And look at how Sagarin compares to everyone else:

    http://www.mratings.com/cf/compare.htm

I think that Spurrier said it best on his weekly show after the Georgia game.
"We can still meet our goals for this season if we play like we did in this game against the other teams in the SEC East."

LSU is not lacking in talent or the ability to perform, i.e. injuries and/or depth. My question is, "why didn't LSU defensively adjust better to the ASU passing attack?"

You're beyond stupid if you put any faith in those ratings. But then again, you are a Vol fan.
